THE BRONX - Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed a Bronx woman inside a homeless shelter.

The Claremont Annex is a city-run family homeless shelter made up of several individual apartments. It is located at 1410 Grand Concourse.

According to investigators, the masked suspects were armed with a knife when they pushed their way into the 29-year-old victim's apartment at around 8 p.m. Monday.

Neighbors at the shelter say the woman was punched in the face and robbed of a PlayStation and $45.

Other tenants say they no longer feel safe in the building, especially because the crime happened while two security guards were on duty. They claim the guards buzzed the suspects inside and that the door is often left open to the public.

Police say security cameras weren't rolling at the time of the incident.

The city's Department of Homeless Services is investigating.
