Bronxdale police step up patrols amid female robberies

THE BRONX - Bronxdale police are stepping up patrols following the recent increase in young female robberies and assaults in the area.

The 49th precinct says the numbers have spiked from Sept. 15 to Nov. 1. They have arrested 13 girls between the ages of 13 and 16.

Most of the attacks happened near Columbus High School, White Plains Road and Pelham Parkway.
