BRONXWOOD - Tenants of a Bronxwood building say they are dealing with a recurring problem again this year because their landlord is delaying turning on the heat.

"It's a nightmare, the radiators are ice cold and there's no heat," says Bobi Brooks, who lives at 776 Mace Ave.

City officials say Bronx landlords are required by law to provide adequate heat for tenants. When the temperature dips below 55 degrees outside during the day, apartments are expected to be kept at 68 degrees. Apartments must be kept at 55 degrees if the temperature drops below 40 degrees at night.

After News 12 The Bronx left a message for the building's landlord, tenants say they started to feel their apartments warming up.
