THE BRONX - Dozens of city housing tenants in Bronxwood are still trying to keep warm days after a gas leak cut off their heat and hot water.

NYCHA has placed a temporary boiler at the Pelham Parkway Houses on Waring Avenue to provide some warmth to tenants.

The first chill was felt last Thursday when a contractor working to correct a steam leak accidentally damaged a heating plant that supplies gas.

Residents say representatives from NYCHA have also been visiting individual apartments.
