THE BRONX - BronxWorks expanded its mission with a grand-opening celebration at its new office Wednesday.

The new location, at 725 St. Ann's Ave. in Melrose, will host after-school classes for kids on topics ranging from cooking to comic books.

The project began a year ago when BronxWorks partnered with L&M Development to build a full floor of classrooms and offices to serve children, seniors and the unemployed.

Dozens of children and seniors have been attending classes since the unofficial soft opening, but staff members say they soon will go door to door and promote the facility.
