Bruckner Expressway car accident sends 3 to hospital

The accident happened at 7:30 a.m. on the westbound side of the Bruckner, right after the Hunts Point Drawbridge.

THE BRONX - A car accident on the Bruckner Expressway sent three people to the hospital this morning.

The accident happened at 7:30 a.m. on the westbound side of the Bruckner, right after the Hunts Point Drawbridge.

Police closed the highway to tow away the vehicles and allow EMTs to help the injured.

Eight people were hurt in the accident, but only three needed to be transported to Lincoln Hospital.

Sources say all of the injuries were minor.
