Burglary suspect uses fire escape to break into Fordham apartment on Morris Avenue

THE BRONX - Police are looking for the burglary suspect who they say broke into a Fordham home by way of the fire escape.

According to investigators, the man climbed the emergency escape route at 2199 Morris Ave. and entered one apartment through the window. It happened at around 8 p.m. on Sept. 20.

The man was caught on surveillance video after allegedly stealing two laptops, several pieces of jewelry and $80 in cash. Cops say the stolen property totaled $4,100.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion. He was wearing a green baseball hat, a green long sleeved shirt and dark colored pants.
