Bus matron accused of attacking BX boy arraigned

THE BRONX - A school bus matron accused of attacking a 12-year-old autistic boy had her day in court today.

Gina Rosado, 40, was arraigned on several charges, including endangering the welfare of a child. Rosado allegedly assaulted the boy on Wednesday.

Joanne Ortiz says Rosado grabbed her son, Matthew, by the throat and hit him on the head. Rosado says she was defending herself from the boy, who she claims was trying to punch her.

Rosado was released and is due back in court in April.
