Business booming for towing companies

THE BRONX - The latest snowstorm to wallop the Bronx has been keeping local towing companies busy pulling out stalled cars and opening frozen locks.

Al Bastone, of All About Towing, says he has been up since 2 a.m. Friday, towing vehicles stuck in the slushy snow.

"There's puddles out there, believe it or not, like rivers," he says.

Towing companies are expected to receive more calls as temperatures begin to drop, raising the threat of black ice.
