THE BRONX - Fordham Plaza is getting a facelift, complete with new shops and cleaner streets.

The Fordham Business Improvement District’s plans for the plaza include adding more new shops, holding outdoor movies and concerts, and starting up a farmers market.

The BID has already started working on improving the neighborhood. It's improved sanitation to clean up the streets, brought in new places to eat, and held free events to bring in foot traffic.

Renovations are expected to take less than two years to complete. The BID envisions it being similar to Union Square in Manhattan.
