Business owners await health care changes

THE BRONX - Small business owners in the Bronx say the new health care bill should help them defray some medical-insurance costs.

The landmark health care legislation signed into law by President Barack Obama on Tuesday is expected to make small businesses eligible to buy coverage at lower costs through new state exchanges.

Beginning in 2014, businesses with more than 50 employees who don't offer health care to employees will be fined up to $2,000 per person.
