THE BRONX - Business owners are left with only debris after a six-alarm fire ripped through 10 stores on White Plains Road yesterday.

The fire came in at 12:23 a.m. at 4225 White Plains Road and quickly spread to the other businesses. Island Records had just opened for business, and the owner says he was gearing up for the big Labor Day weekend.

The Department of Small Business Services says it will assist the owners to rebuild in the area.
