THE BRONX - A Bronx non-profit group is going beyond the traditional role of a soup kitchen and expanding its reach by offering services such as haircuts and legal advice.

Jorge Castro says he given haircuts to 795 needy people at Part of the Solution on Webster Avenue during the past year.

"If I compare this to working in a regular salon, it's better because people appreciate things more," Castro says.

Castro offers the free haircuts on Tuesdays.
