THE BRONX - The owner of a Bronx bodega says he is shocked after selling a jackpot lottery ticket. The ticket was sold last week at Mohegan Grocery, where owner Pedro Hernandez says a regular customer scratched off a $2 million prize on the Monopoly game. Hernandez says the man celebrated quietly before leaving the store. He says he has owned the store for five years, and that this marks the first time he's sold off a jackpot this big. "I'm very happy to have sold the ticket," he said. Since word of the jackpot has spread, Hernandez says customers have been coming in to buy more scratch-off tickets. He says the Monopoly game quickly sold out.
