MANHATTAN - Throngs of Bronx residents descended upon Foley Square to join the ongoing Occupy Wall Street rally in Lower Manhattan today.Click NEXT to see more team coverage of the protest.Bronx community groups, college students and the members of more than six unions swooped into the city's financial district to prepare for a march down Wall Street. The route leads protesters across more than 10 blocks, from Foley Square to Zucotti Park."Our poverty rate in the Bronx is ridiculous," said Andy King, of the Youth Empowerment Program. "So we need to make sure that if there's any money being spent, that it's invested in the communities."Protesters have occupied the area for 18 days, speaking out against the corporate greed and financial irresponsibly that they say is gutting the middle and lower classes.
