THE BRONX - Two Bronx families say even though George Steinbrenner has passed away, his love for the Bronx lives on through them.

The Magassa and Soumarie families were victims of a deadly fire that ripped through Woodycrest Avenue three years ago. The fire killed 10 people, many of them children.

Members of the families say they've rebuilt their lives with the help of Steinbrenner. They say Steinbrenner paid for the entire funeral for the victims and even paid to fly some of the bodies back to Mali, their native country, for burial.

Family members say they got to see a side of ?The Boss? that many didn't. Lassana Magassa says he hopes the family remains strong during this tragedy.
