THE BRONX - With Thanksgiving a little more than a week away, some food pantries in the Bronx say they may come up short on turkeys this year.

The volunteers at Part of the Solution's food pantry say they only have 200 free turkeys this year compared to 350 turkeys and twice the amount of trimmings that were available last year.

The organization says it also absorbed some 900 people from Lover Gospel Church, which was destroyed in a fire this summer.

Organizers say residents can also go to Our Lady of Refuge church on Thanksgiving at noon for a warm Thanksgiving meal.
