BX intersection rates 3rd highest for pedestrian crashes

THE BRONX - A Bronx intersection has the third highest number of car accidents involving pedestrians in the entire city, according to the group Transportation Alternatives.

Statistics from the state Department of Transportation (DOT) show that there were 123 reported crashes at Webster and Fordham roads between 1995 and 2009.

A new website called Crash Stat has also been launched, which pinpoints dangerous intersections throughout the city.
