BX job fair aims to help unemployed residents

THE BRONX - Local groups held a career fair today for unemployed Bronx residents in need of assistance.

Services For the UnderServed and Community Board 5 said the event aimed to help job seekers prepare for their search by offering workshops on how to prepare for an interview and how to edit a resume.

The Labor Department says The Bronx has the highest rate of unemployment in the entire state at 11.7 percent.

The Job Readiness and Career Fair was held at the St. Francis Assisi Church on Shakespeare Avenue.
