BX judge releases man accused in fatal DWI crash

THE BRONX - The Bronx man charged with killing another man by running him over twice was released on his own recognizance today.

Police say Orlando Feliz struck and killed Jason Tavarez, 26, back on August 24. The 21-year-old suspect was not asked to post bail before being allowed to walk out of the courthouse.

Feliz is due back in court on Oct. 9 to faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
