BX pastor found shot to death in front of Fish Ave. home

THE BRONX - Police say a Bronx man who worked as a pastor was found shot to death in front of his Williamsbridge home last night.Bernard Johnson, 43, was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Fish Avenue at around 11 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Johnson had been a pastor at Gospel Foundation Church of God on 214th Street for several years. Parishoners say he was due to give a sermon this morning, but now the church is closed while those who knew him are in mourning.Police say they do not have any suspects in custody in connection with the homicide.
