THE BRONX - New legislation is calling for a Bronx post office to be renamed in honor of one the borough's fallen soldiers.

Congressman Joe Crowley (D-Bronx) is reintroducing a bill that would get the Parkchester location at 14449 West Ave. named after Pvt. Isaac T. Cortes.

The Bronx native was serving in Iraq in 2007 when an explosive device detonated near a vehicle he was riding in. He was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star after his death.
