BX Remembering 9/11: Rebuilding Ground Zero

THE BRONX - Mayor Michael Bloomberg visited Ground Zero today to see how much progress has been made in rebuilding the site.

Bloomberg said that the construction shows the spirit of New York.

"Ten years ago people thought it would take decades for Lower Manhattan to recover if it ever could.  They predicted businesses would flee and never return.  They predicted crime would retake our streets.  But we had more faith in our city and we have faith in New Yorkers," Bloomberg said.

The National 9/11 Memorial Museum on the site of Ground Zero will open this Sunday on the 10th anniversary of the attacks.
