THE BRONX - Police say Bronx residents were among those arrested in connection with a coast-to-coast drug operation.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents say they seized 1,000 pounds of marijuana valued at around $500,000. They say the arrests began last night and went on into this morning.

A Rockland County man was arrested along with the suspects from the Bronx. The Rockland man is accused of being the leader of the drug ring on the East Coast.
