THE BRONX - Many residents are calling on the city to improve the intersection at 174th Street and Boston Road after a pedestrian was hit and killed this weekend.

Last Saturday night, 53-year-old Bosley Johnson was struck and killed by a car while he crossed the street.

Many residents say the intersection is dangerous with traffic coming from too many directions.

The New York City Department of Transportation says it knows of no other fatalities at the intersection, but will continue to monitor it and determine if modifications are needed.
