THE BRONX - Bronx residents who suffered home and vehicle damage in yesterday's storm say they are concerned about covering their repair costs. Insurance agents say customers in the market for home or flood insurance need to allow for a 30-day window to buy it. Agents also recommend that residents fully assess damage before filing a claim. They say to take pictures of the damage, and keep detailed files to streamline the adjustment process. Residents whose property was damaged by city trees can file a claim with the city's comptroller's office.
