MOUNT HOPE - Big or small, everyone can make a difference and some Bronx residents are doing just that by getting a jump start on National Make a Difference Day.

The South Bronx Job Corp is doing its part by teaching kids at Marc Academy in Mount Hope today about healthy eating. Volunteers say that with high rates of diabetes and obesity in the borough, they hope children can avoid falling into the same patterns.

Tomorrow thousands of people are expected to join the movement by participating in food drives, community renovations and other activities.
