THE BRONX - More volunteers headed to the Silver Beach community center this weekend to help victims of Sandy's destruction.

Bronx residents who volunteered were busy packing up donations that were headed to families in Queens and Staten Island. They told News 12 The Bronx that they hope their donations of food, water and clothing will go a long way to help those still suffering.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand was at the event and thanked a group of Silver Beach kids who raised a $1,000 by selling their Halloween candy for families still affected by Sandy.
