THE BRONX - Forecasters say a significant snowfall is on the way for the Bronx during the tail end of the morning rush hour Tuesday.

Bronx residents told News 12 that they will be dressed in layers and leaving their homes early for the morning commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a citywide winter weather advisory effective through Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The borough is expected to see around 3 inches of snow. Temperatures are expected to drop into the low 30s for the rest of the week.
