BX residents travel to LI to protest hate crimes

THE BRONX - A group of Bronx residents traveled to Long Island Saturday to protest on-going violence against Hispanics.

Hispanics in the area have faced a string of recent hate crimes, including assaults with baseball bats, BB guns and pepper spray. One person was killed in the attacks.

Senator Ruben Diaz (D-NY) plans to meet with local leaders in hopes of putting an end to racial intolerance.
