BX tenants wait to be delivered from mail malaise

WEST FARMS - Residents in West Farms say they have not had mail delivered for at least four months after vandals broke their apartment building's mailboxes. Tenants at the Vyse Avenue complex say their mail last made it to their residences in November. Some say they pick up packages at the nearby post office while others use the addresses of family members. The building's management company says the mailboxes are scheduled to undergo an inspection in the near future. Postal officials told residents last month that all mail sent to the building would be returned to the original sender. Several tenants say they have stopped paying their rent in protest.
