MOTT HAVEN - Small business owners can now take advantage of resources that will help them grow thanks to a new federal program based in the Bronx.

Earlier today, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. and the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation welcomed SCORE, a federal non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education, growth and the success of small businesses nationwide.

"What SCORE does is it gives them that avenue, that vehicle for them to get advice," the borough president said.

The program pairs former heads of corporate organizations with Bronx-based small businesses, with the ultimate goal being job creation.
