BX woman recovering after being pushed onto subway tracks

HUNTS POINT - A Bronx woman is recovering in the hospital tonight after a stranger shoved her onto the subway tracks in Hunts Point.

According to Patricia Villa, 49, she was waiting for the 6 train Tuesday night when she felt a man grab her from behind and toss her off the platform. A fellow student from P.S. 75, where she studies English as a Second Language, chased after the suspect but came back to help pull Villa to safety.

Police say they are still looking for the man who pushed her. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
