THE BRONX - Domestic violence awareness took center stage tonight during News 12's 10th annual DiVA Talk forum.

Many Bronx women who survived domestic violence shared their stories in hopes of helping other women learn about the physical and emotional signs of abuse.

According to Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office, nearly 260,000 incidents of domestic abuse were reported in 2011 alone. If you or a loved one ever need help, a 24-hour domestic violence hotline is available at 1-800-621-HOPE.
