THE BRONX - A group of young Bronx residents took part in their own championship game this Super Bowl weekend, but this one is on the basketball court.

Hundreds of people came out to the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club in West Farms to take part in the annual tournament hosted by the Community Board Athletic Leadership League, or C-Ball.

The event was started in 2006 to help mentor the borough's youth through basketball clinics and tournaments.

Saturday's big game was against the NYPD and members of the C-Ball organization.

Organizers say the sporting event is a great way to foster communication between the two groups.
