Campaign aims to reward shoppers for going local

THE BRONX - Businesses along Southern Boulevard are teaming up to reward residents for shopping locally.

The Shop Small Campaign was created to reward shoppers who buy from small stores along the road.

Under the program, shoppers get a promotional card each time they shop at a participating store. Once they get five stamps, they receive a tote bag.

Organizers say they are starting with 10 stores, but are looking to expand.
