THE BRONX - Celebrity dog trainer Bash Dibra holds an event each month to help people and their dogs get moving, but last month marked a significant milestone.

The Canine Court in Van Cortlandt Park recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Dibra created the 14,000-square-foot park so that dog owners and their pets could have a place to get exercise together in the Bronx.

The park features jumps, hurdles, hoops and tunnels and is the first agility course in New York City.

The park undergoes renovations every couple years thanks to donations.

Dibra has worked with animals belonging to Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and more.

The next event is scheduled for Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m. The class, called "Dog Speak," will teach pet parents how to communicate better with their animals.
