Capoeira dance group aims to let residents kick off steam

THE BRONX - A Bronx organization is letting residents kick off some steam through Capoeira.

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form created more than 500 years ago. It combines elements of dance, music and acrobatics, and is a form of self-defense.

Abada Capoeira has been teaching free classes in the Bronx since January. Classes take place at the Church of the Mediator.
