THE BRONX - The last thing you may want to eat during this week's frigid weather is something cold, but if the ice cream craving hits, you can at least get a deal.

One Carvel shop in Castle Hill says record low temperatures have been a blow to business, forcing owner Lynette Narain to close five hours early on Tuesday.

However, things have warmed up a bit and Narain hopes that new daily promotions will grab the attention of customers, despite the cold.

She says that she can at least always count on people buying ice cream cakes for birthdays and other special occasions.
