MORRIS HEIGHTS - A Bronx teen has been charged with attempted murder after police say he threw a boy from a Morris Heights apartment building.

Police say 17-year-old Casmine Aska threw 9-year-old Freddy Marte from the roof of his Nelson Avenue building.

Marte fell five stories to the concrete below after his grandparents say his mother sent him to buy a soda. An unconscious Marte was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, where he underwent surgery on his arm and leg. He's listed in critical condition with severe body trauma.
