BROOKLYN - No more dropped calls. After a three-year delay, cell phone service is finally coming to New York City subways.

Transit Wireless Inc. will wire six underground stations in the next two years as part of a pilot program. All 271 subway stations are expected to be wired in the following four years.

The work is expected to start at the end of September.
