THE BRONX - Young residents looking to make it big in the dance world auditioned for a chance to attend the School of American Ballet in Manhattan.

The school held auditions for kids aged six through 10 for admission into its prestigious winter class series.

The auditions took place in all of the five boroughs, including one at the Bronx Dance Theatre.  

SAB is located at Lincoln Center, and it has been around for over 80 years.

Children who auditioned are hoping for the chance to take lessons in classical ballet technique and eventually perform "The Nutcracker" at Lincoln Center.
