THE BRONX - Hundreds of children with disabilities had the opportunity to visit the Bronx Zoo thanks to a special organization making a difference in the community.

More than 1,000 kids packed into the zoo for the first time Thursday thanks to Community Mayors -- a local organization that provides recreational therapy for children with special needs.

Community Mayors is made up of more than 400 volunteers representing firefighters, sanitation workers, NYPD detectives, the Secret Service and a host of other businesses and government organizations.
