THE BRONX - The Children's Hospital at Montefiore has expanded its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The hospital is helping more patients than ever before, with the capacity to care for 26 critically ill children.

Medical Director Michael Ushay says the medical center is committed to taking care of the kids of the Bronx, and that having a PICU that can keep up with patients is very exciting.

The PICU is now the largest in the region.
