City ads highlight drinking dangers

NEW YORK - The city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is pushing a new ad campaign to educate the public on drinking dangers during the holiday season.

The ads look to highlight the aftermath of excessive drinking. In one example, a well-dressed woman is seen alone and slumped over in a subway station, with her belongings strewn all over the subway's dingy staircase.

The city agency is hoping the campaign will help make New Yorkers will drink in moderation this holiday season.
