SOUNDVIEW - City officials, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, broke ground today on new recreational facilities at Soundview Park.

The new facilities include a soccer field, track, playground, comfort station and amphitheater.

Residents say they are excited for the new improvements.

Bloomberg says that the city has invested nearly $3 billion in the Parks Department over the past decade and that there are plans for another $1 billion in investments.
