Residents first told News 12 the lot on Waring Avenue was overgrown with weeds and grass last week. Many say the unkempt look led people to think they could dump trash in the area. Some also say they have seen drug paraphernalia in the weeds.

Crews from the Department of Sanitation came in and cleaned up the lot recently. Neighbors say they?re relieved the mess is gone.
