City introduces new child support program 'Pay It Off' to assist parents in making payments

"Pay It Off" aims to reduce debt for parents who do not have custody of their children. (11/8/13)

THE BRONX - A new program will launch this month in an effort to help parents make their child support payments.

The city's Human Resources Administration is introducing the program, called "Pay It Off." It aims to reduce debt for parents who do not have custody of their children. If non-custodial parents pay at least $5,000 of their child support debt, the HRA will match that amount to help pay it off.

The program will begin on Nov. 12 and will end Nov. 27. The only way to apply for the program is by heading to 151 West Broadway, 4th Floor, in Manhattan.
