City Island holds blood drive for Bronx hospital

THE BRONX - The City Island community hosted a blood drive to give back to a Bronx hospital for saving a teen's life after she was seriously hurt by an alleged drunken driver.

The event was held in honor of 17-year-old Emily Sexton, who received between eight and 12 blood transfusions at Jacobi Medical Center last month.

The drive was held at Grace Episcopal Church.
