City Island man swept into water, drowns near marina

A Bronx family is mourning the loss of a loved one this evening in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene. The medical examiner's office says

CITY ISLAND - A Bronx family is mourning the loss of a loved one this evening in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene. The medical examiner's office says Jose Sierra, 68, died yesterday in an accidental drowning. Family members say Sierra went to check on his boat at the City Island Marina, but failed to return. Police say his body was pulled from the water about 150 feet from the dock. Police: 1 dead after Sunset Marina drowning
